Hashtag & Keyword Generator

Type a topic and see what people actually search for around it, then copy a keyword list and a set of hashtags. Instagram now allows 5 hashtags a post, so it picks your best 5 to start.

These are popular searches from Google’s suggestions, so they show what people look for, not exact search volumes.

Good to know

  • Instagram allows 5 hashtags per post since December 2025, so choose a mix: one broad topic tag and a few specific ones that describe the post exactly.
  • The How-to questions group is a ready list of reel, carousel and blog ideas, because each one is something people are already asking.
  • Short, specific topics work best. If nothing comes up, try a broader word, like cafe instead of a cafe's name.
  • These come from Google's search suggestions, so they show what people look for, not exact search volumes or how a hashtag performs on Instagram.
  • The page link includes your topic, so you can bookmark it or send it to a teammate to see the same search.

Questions

How many hashtags can I use on Instagram?

Since December 2025 Instagram allows up to 5 hashtags on a post. This tool picks your best 5 to start with and warns you if you select more.

How do I find the best hashtags for my post?

Start from what people actually search for around your topic. Type it here, look at the hashtag ideas ranked by how often they come up in searches, and pick ones that truly match the post rather than the biggest tags.

Where do these keywords and hashtags come from?

From Google's autocomplete suggestions for your topic and a few variations, such as best, ideas, tips and near me. The hashtags are built from words that keep appearing in those searches.

Can I use this as a keyword research tool for SEO?

Yes, for ideas. It shows real searches grouped by intent, which is handy for blog titles, YouTube descriptions and FAQs. It does not show search volume or competition, so check those in a full SEO tool.

Can I see what people search for in India?

Yes. India is the default, and you can switch to the US, UK, UAE, Canada or Australia to compare how people search in each country.

Is the hashtag generator free? Is my search stored?

It is free with no login. Your topic is sent to Samchive's own server, which asks Google for suggestions and keeps the results for about a day so repeat searches are quick. Your country choice is remembered in your browser.
