SSC Signature Resizer
Make your SSC signature file: about 6 × 2 cm and 10–20 KB, in JPG. SSC no longer takes an uploaded photo: the form captures a live photo with your webcam or phone, so only the signature needs a file.
Your picture
SSC requirements
- Size in pixels
- 240 × 80 px (6 × 2 cm)
- File size
- 10–20 KB
- Format
- JPG
- Also
- Sign on plain white paper in dark ink
- SSC gives the size in cm only; 240 × 80 px has the same shape
SSC captures your photo live during the application (good light, plain background, no cap, mask or glasses). Photographing an old photo gets rejected, so there is no photo file to make.

Your picture never leaves your device: it is cropped and saved right here in your browser.

How to use the SSC Signature Resizer
- Pick your exam, then choose what you are uploading: Photo, Signature or the other images that exam asks for.
- Press Choose your photo and pick a picture from your phone or computer. A photo taken against a plain wall works well.
- Drag the picture inside the frame and use Zoom so your face (or signature) fills it the way the form wants.
- Check the ticks: the exact size in pixels, a file size inside the allowed range, and JPG format.
- Press Download JPG and upload that file to the form. Repeat for the signature and any other images.
Good to know
- For the live photo step, sit facing a window with a plain wall behind you, camera at eye level, and take off glasses and caps.
- The same 10–20 KB signature works for CGL, CHSL and MTS, which use the same application form.
- Take the photo in daylight facing a window, against a plain white or light wall, with your face straight to the camera. Most forms reject shadows, caps and dark glasses.
- For a signature, sign in black or blue ink on plain white paper, photograph it from straight above and crop close. The tool turns the grey paper white so the ink stands out.
- Keep the original photo. If a form changes its rules, you can make a new file from it here in a few seconds.
- If a form gives a size in centimetres, the pixel size shown here is what that works out to for online upload.
- Some forms now take a live photo with your webcam instead of an upload. This tool can’t help with that step, but it still does the signature and other uploads.
Questions
Can I upload a photo for SSC?
No. SSC now captures your photo live with your webcam or phone camera during the application. You only upload the signature.
What is the SSC signature size?
10 to 20 KB, about 6 × 2 cm, in JPG.
How do I resize my photo for an exam form?
Pick your exam here, add your photo, frame your face, and press Download JPG. The file comes out at the exact pixel size and inside the KB range that exam asks for, ready to upload.
How do I make my photo between 20 KB and 50 KB?
Pick an exam with that range (or choose Another form and type 20 and 50), add the photo and download. The tool picks the best quality that keeps the file inside the range.
Why is my signature under the minimum size?
A small, clean signature on white paper is very little data, so it can come out under a form’s minimum (often 10 KB). The tool tops the file up with empty space so it reaches the minimum; the picture itself doesn’t change.
Is it safe to use for my exam photo?
Yes. The photo never leaves your device: it is cropped and saved in your browser, with nothing uploaded, no sign-up and no watermark.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Open the page in your phone’s browser, tap Choose your photo, pick it from your gallery or take one, drag to frame it and download.
My exam isn’t listed. Can I still use it?
Yes. Choose Another form, type the width and height in pixels and the KB range from your notification, and add your photo.
