Fancy Text Generator
Make any word 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤 or 𝓈𝒸𝓇𝒾𝓅𝓉 for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. Select words in your caption and style just those, then see how it looks in each app.
Your caption
Styled letters are special symbols, so screen readers and search may skip them. Use them for a few words, not whole captions.
How it looks
Cut-off points are approximate: each app also cuts after a few lines.
Copy a style (great for bios and names)
How to use the Fancy Text Generator
- Write or paste your caption into the Your caption box.
- Select the words you want to stand out, then press Bold, Italic or Bold italic, or pick a look from More styles such as Script, Gothic or Bubble.
- Switch between Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook under How it looks to see what shows before the "more" cut-off.
- Add any search words to Keep these words plain so they stay findable, then press Copy caption and paste it into the app.
Good to know
- Ctrl B and Ctrl I work inside the caption box (Cmd on a Mac), and Ctrl Shift B gives bold italic. Pressing the same style again on styled words turns them plain.
- Style a hook, a price or an offer like "Flat 30% off this Diwali", not the whole caption. Too many styled letters is tiring to read and looks spammy.
- Only English letters and some numbers change. Hindi, Tamil or other scripts, punctuation and emojis stay as they are, and a few styles have no number versions.
- The first line matters most: Instagram shows roughly the first 125 characters before "more", so put your main point and offer there.
- Use the gallery at the bottom to style a name or bio line in every style at once, then copy the one you like.
Questions
How do I make bold text on Instagram?
Instagram has no bold button, so you paste in letters that already look bold. Type your caption here, select the words, press Bold, then Copy caption and paste it into your post, bio or comment.
Can I use bold or italic text on LinkedIn posts?
Yes. LinkedIn posts accept these styled letters the same way, so you can bold a headline or a key line. Keep it to a few words, as people skim LinkedIn and walls of bold text are hard to read.
Will fancy fonts hurt my reach or searchability?
Styled letters are different characters from normal ones, so search inside the apps may not match them, and screen readers may skip them or read them oddly. Keep hashtags, brand names and keywords plain; the Keep these words plain box warns you if one gets styled.
Why do some fancy letters show as boxes?
Older phones or some apps may lack fonts for every symbol, and they show an empty box instead. Bold and italic are the most widely supported; check your post on another phone before using rarer styles like Gothic or Squared.
Do styled letters count as more characters?
Each styled letter is still counted as one character here, which is how the limits are checked (2,200 for an Instagram caption, 150 for a bio, 3,000 for a LinkedIn post). Some apps count certain symbols differently, so leave a little room.
Is this fancy text generator free and private?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up. Everything happens in your browser: your caption is not sent anywhere, and only a draft is kept in this browser so it is still there when you come back.
